Posted by: admin  /  Category: Breaking News, New Music

Lil’ Wayne is to reform his former group The Hot Boys, the ‘Lollipop’ hitmaker has revealed.

The group called it a day in 2001 and released their last album in 2003, but now six years on the five-piece will be reuniting and recording new material.

Crew member Juvenile revealed the news in an interview with Vibe magazine. He says: “I already signed the deal, so, for me, I’m gonna definitely say it’s a go. I already received the cheque.”

“For me and Wayne, it’s a go… I know B.G.’s on board and he’s willing to do it.”

“We finishing all the paperwork now… It’s going to be bigger than The Beatles!” Juvenile added.

Lil Wayne also spoke of a reunion in 2008, while he was promoting his record ‘Tha Carter III’.

The Hot Boys comprised of Lil Wayne, Juvenile, B.G. and Turk. Between 1997 and 2003 they released three albums - ‘Get It How U Live!’, ‘Guerrilla Warfare’ and ‘Let ‘Em Burn’.

The Umbrella singer - whose on/off boyfriend Chris Brown has pleaded not guilty to assaulting her - enjoyed an intimate dinner with Los Angeles Lakers’ star Andrew Bynum at Mastro’s Steakhouse in Beverly Hills on Friday.

“They looked very couple-y, sitting real close to each other in the car,” a source told gossip website X17online.

This is the first time Rihanna, 21, has been spotted out with a man since she and Chris decided to take time away from each other to reflect on their relationship.

Chris has been charged with felony assault and making criminal threats after he allegedly punched, bit and choked Rihanna until she was unconscious in his car on February 8.

Although Rihanna and Chris, 19, initially reunited after the incident, they have not been seen together in recent weeks.

Chris sparked rumours he has moved on when he was spotted visiting a tattoo parlor with Girlicious singer Natalie Mejia.

Natalie refused to deny reports she was romantically involved with Chris, saying at the time: “Things are going well between us, but I really do not want to comment much more than that right now.”

New Music: Warren G - Let’s Get High (420 Anthem) (feat. Travis Barker & Black Nicc)

Posted by: admin  /  Category: Breaking News, New Music

WARREN G CELEBRATES 420 WITH RELEASE OF EXCLUSIVE 420 ANTHEM FEATURING TRAVIS BARKER AND ONLINE CHAT TONIGHT AT 9PM EST

His laid back flow and production have made him an undisputed Hip-Hop legend, but those attributes and accomplishments have and always will certify multi-platinum rapper and producer, Warren G as a West Coast icon.

While many West Coast artists such as Tupac, Dr. Dre, and Snoop signed record deals with LA’s Death Row Records, Warren G took an alternative route and signed with Def Jam in New York, quickly proving he had something remarkable up his sleeve. His 1994 debut album, Regulate…G Funk Era, certified Warren G as a multi-platinum internationally acclaimed artist, selling over 10 million units worldwide. He also received multiple award nominations (Grammy, American Music, Soul Train) for his smash hit “Regulator.”

Def Jam founder and the God Father of Hip Hop, Russell Simmons, would later cite Warren G’s signing as “a turning point” for the storied Def Jam Records imprint and its subsequent mega-success. “After that, Def Jam never looked back,” Simmons wrote in his book Life and Def. Likewise, as one of the first rap artists on “The Late Show with David Letterman,” Warren G helped put the West Coast on the Hip-Hop map with his success and by nurturing the careers of many other talented artists.

Subsequent albums Take a Look Over Your Shoulder (1997) and I Want It All (1999) were certified gold and generated hits “I Want It All” and “I Shot The Sheriff,” a cover of Bob Marley’s popular song by the same name. Warren’s 2001 release Return of the Regulator showcased his studio skills through working with legendary artists like Stevie Wonder and George Clinton (the two, alongside the late Tupac Shakur, are cited by Warren as some of the great highlights of his extensive collaborations over the years).

With five LP’s already under his belt, Warren G will release his sixth studio LP, Tha G Files, in August 2009 (an entirely self-produced effort) and in order to celebrate its impending release and mark 4-20, he is releasing a very special 420 promotion free download of “Lets Get High” (4:20 Anthem) f/ Black Nicc and Blink 182’s Travis Barker who adds his unparalleled drumming abilities to the track (“Lets Get High” will also be included on Warren’s upcoming Tha G Files LP).

“I wanted to do something very special this year to support the 420 movement, explains Warren G. “Marijuana has been proven to be an effective medicinal treatment for cancer and many other medical problems”, he adds.

In addition, to the special 420 promotion, Warren will also be hosting and participating in a live online chat at http://www.warrengeezy.com/ & http://www.ustream.tv/ at 9PM (EST) tonight (4-20-09).

Here’s the song, enjoy!

Rick Ross Buries 50 Cent In ‘Cold Blood’ Video

Posted by: admin  /  Category: Beef, Breaking News

Rick Ross has claimed that his insults against 50 Cent have ended the Queens rhyme lord’s career. The Miami boss recently held a ceremony in honor of what he calls his accomplishment.

Over the weekend, Ross released the trailer to a video for “Cold Blood,” a record from Deeper Than Rap. You see flashes of Ross sitting in church wearing a suit. The viewer is led to believe that once again he’ll be mocking 50, because the words “R.I.P. Curtis Jackson” appear on the screen.

This is yet another salvo in the ongoing feud between 50 and Ross that started several weeks ago when the husky down-South MC called 50 out with “Mafia Music.” Since then, the back-and-forth has been incessant. Last week, Ross released a remix to “Mafia Music,” featuring the Game, Ja Rule and Fat Joe. On a recent trip to New York, Ross told radio personality DJ Envy that many more MCs had given him raps to include in the remix.
Maybe with the release of “Cold Blood,” Ross is signifying an end to his war with Fif, at least on his part. Rick told Envy that 50 was boring him and that he might have to look toward Eminem for real comp.

Later in the Envy interview, Ross implied that if he did go into competition with Slim Shady, it might not be a traditional trade of barbs but rather a battle over who makes the best music. He did tell Envy he wasn’t exactly excited about Em’s new “We Made You” video.

“His swag ain’t the same, though,” he said, adding that he was just giving an opinion. “We not dissing. We’ll never dis. [The video] was funny. This time I’m not gonna be critical because I’m a fan. But I see the swag ain’t the same.”

Here’s the trailer for “Cold Blood”:

What do you think of all this beef? Is it just to sell records?

Queen Latifah Getting Exposed

WOW! This is a shocker (Sarcasm):

A make-up artist and a stylist are suing Queen Latifah claiming she owes them $1 million dollars combined. Roxanna Floyd says she’s owed $700,000 on work done between July 2005 and February 2008. Stylist Susan Moses says she was cheated out of $300,000 during that same period. While the lawsuit has yet to go to court, it’s already spilling over into the gossip pages. Apparently the two are threatening to go public about Queen Latifah’s private life if they don’t get their cash.

Lawyers for the two told the National Enquirer, “Whether Latifah is gay or straight has absolutely nothing to do with our clients claims,” though they added that “Latifah’s personal life could become an issue in the case as it relates to her treatment of another stylist.”

Hopefully it’s hot, we can’t wait:

On this next album, will the world can finally get a duet between Solange and her superstar sister, Beyoncé? “I definitely think that they’ll be a time and a place for me and my sister to collaborate,” Solange told MTV News. “It’s just all about the time and the place and letting it evolve naturally — and whenever that day happens well embrace it we’ll come up with something good.”
